Theme Cinderella, Annie and Me!
When: 9:15AM-3:30PM (full-day)
What: Ballet, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Jazz, Repertoire, Video Study, Stretch and Strengthen

Ballet & Repertoire:

A French styled ballet, composed by Sergei Prokofiev that premiered in 1945, our chosen version balances tradition with modernity in a unique rendering of the story to put Cinderella on equal footing with Prince Charming, both confined by their respective circumstances and in search of happiness. Students will learn highlight sections which include mime, dancing with props and acting to music, all whilst gaining new ballet vocabulary to support their best technical progress.

Musical Theatre:

Your Musical Theatre classes will center around creating characters while incorporating style, acting and complete performance into the choreography, using the musical "Annie." Get out of your comfort zone, build self-confidence and become a more rounded performer!

For Jazz, get ready with a 5-6-7-8! Students will be led through energetic movements that train flexibility, core strength and stylistic flair. Let’s kick high to the sky with classes that will include cardio, conditioning, and choreography, danced to the pumping music of some of today’s hottest tunes. Gain the power to perform explosive leaps balanced with muscle control and pizzazz. Shine bright like a diamond!

Contemporary Movement:

These classes will work towards connecting the mind and body through expressive movements. We will introduce core concepts from both the José Limón Technique and Martha Graham Modern Technique. This training will build a strong foundation to the beginnings of floor work, standing centre work and traveling across the floor. These techniques are highly physical and will challenge you to find specificity of movement and expand on your performative capabilities.
