Children’s Division

Overview

An introduction to ballet fundamentals, programs in the Children’s Division are designed for young dancers to begin exploring the art of dance through exposure to ballet steps, musicality, and self-expression. Students will be immersed into the beauty of ballet during weekly classes with our certified and award-winning instructors. Class curriculums encourage the development of skills such as muscle strength, coordination and focus, all while providing a safe environment for children to blossom and enjoy artistic expression.

The progressive and age appropriate syllabus in our Children’s Division Programs will equip students with the foundations necessary to flourish into a confident dancer, and prepare them for advancement.

Children's Division

Annual Programs
Ages 4-7

Budding dancers, aged 4 – 7 years, are introduced to the basic concepts of ballet including beginning steps, terminology, musicality, focus, and expression. Throughout the year, students gain strength, coordination and self-confidence from our award-winning and Royal Academy of Dance certified faculty.

Families are required to commit to one class per week from September through June. Upon completion of the Children’s Division, students will be equipped for entry into the Academy’s Elementary and Intermediate Divisions where they will continue their training and begin preparations for the annual Royal Academy of Dance graded examinations, intensive training, or other after school programs.

Classical Ballet 1 & 2

Annual Programs
Ages 7-14

Dancers aged 7-14 are introduced to the fundamental concepts of ballet, including basic steps, terminology, musicality, focus, and expression. Throughout the year, students build strength, coordination, and self-confidence with guidance from our award-winning and Royal Academy of Dance certified faculty.

Families are asked to commit to classes from September through June. Upon completion of the Classical Ballet program, students will be prepared to transition into the Academy’s Elementary and Intermediate Divisions, where they will continue their training and begin preparations for the annual Royal Academy of Dance graded examinations, intensive programs, or other after-school opportunities.
