GBYC Performance & Tours

Since its founding in 1979, the company has embarked on admirable international tours, serving as a vital cultural experience for dancers and their audiences, and bringing the global community closer through the universal language of dance. The Goh Ballet Youth Company has made several tours to the People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, France and the U.S.A. The achievements of our dancers at international competitions, and the visibility of our alumni who fill the ranks of world-renowned companies, reinforces the global reputation of the Goh Ballet as a provider of world class opportunities.

The Goh Ballet Youth Company is committed to technical excellence showcased through a wide-ranging and ever expanding repertoire of classical and contemporary ballets, jazz, character and national dances.

Opportunities

The Goh Ballet Youth Company dancers are featured in our annual showcase performances with original choreography created specifically for them. Notable repertoire by George Balanchine, Marius Petipa, and some of today’s most sought after choreographers have also been commissioned. Educational outreach tours within the province of British Columbia and the city of Vancouver take place seasonally at elementary, secondary, and post-secondary institutions to encourage artistic expression and physical education. Opportunities to participate at international festivals and invitations to present repertoire consisting of renowned classics, as well as original creations, establish our company and its members as one of North America’s most vital and sought after dance organizations.

To invite the Goh Ballet Youth Company to perform, please contact reception@gohballet.com and your enquiry will be directed to a designated staff member.
