Ms. Goh Travels to Europe for the Stuttgart's 50th Anniversary

Chan Hon Goh, Director of the Goh Ballet Academy, and Instructor of the Junior School, Tanya Phelps, recently travelled to Europe to attend the 49th anniversary of the Stuttgart Ballet including the Artistic Director’s conference and the prestigious Prix de Lausanne competition in Switzerland. They also ventured to Berlin where they witnessed the Senior Professional Program's Yoshiko Kamikusa’s Gold winning performance.

Ms. Goh mentioned that, for her, the travels were "a trip down memory lane. It was 25 years to the day since I competed in the same theatre. There is an incredible new group of young dancers and watching them emphasized the incredible confidence bestowed upon me then and what a full circle I have taken in my career. This competition gave me a great vote of confidence needed to pursue a professional career and now I am proud to be directing young dancers who are attending these festivals and competitions".

Ms. Goh brings back with her, fortification of her artistic vision for the Academy. She will continue to develop and grow from her European observations. Her exposure to talented choreographers and performances will no doubt have a positive impact on the future of the Goh Ballet.
