22: Two Goh Ballet students, James Stout and Eric Burrough, aim for the R.A.D.’s highest examination distinction, the Solo Seal, at 7:00 p.m. at the Michael J. Fox Theatre in Burnaby. The exam also doubles as a public performance. For tickets ($20 for adults, $15 for students) call 1-888-709-0895, ext. 225.
24: At 1:00 p.m. the Goh Ballet Company performs at Chartwell School in West Vancouver as part of the school’s multicultural events – with special thanks to Kimber Frenette for arranging the performance. The Goh Ballet Academy has also developed a partnership with the West Vancouver School District to provide a quality English-language immersion program for international students, both at the Academy and in Sentinel school’s half-day program.
30: The Company performs for the ArtScan in Schools conference, allowing representatives from schools across BC to welcome the Goh Ballet to perform before their student bodies in the coming year.
March 30 – April 4: The Surrey Festival of Dance is the one of the largest amateur dance competitions held in North America, with over 10,000 dancers crossing the stage. Our students made a great showing with dozens of first place awards, including the top award in the “No Borders” group competition.
