The Goh Ballet Academy is pleased to congratulate all of the dancers involved with the June shows (L’amour and Harmony) on their stellar performances! Everyone should share in this pride and recognize that they achieved their individual best. The Academy would also like to thank the parents for their dedication and support of the hundreds of dancers. Of course, a show would not be possible without the tireless efforts of our parent volunteers; thank you to the dozens of individuals who helped back stage with costumes and production logistics. The Goh Ballet would like to also extend a special thanks to some of our outstanding volunteers, Wendy Wedge, Chris Khoo, AnneMarie Wardell, as well as Patti and Ian Munro.

Chan Hon Goh Coaches Giselle for the Pacific Northwest Ballet
Ms. Goh was invited by Peter Boal, Artistic Director of the Pacific Northwest Ballet to share her artistic guidance with all four casts of dancers appointed to make their debuts in the title role of Giselle and Albrect in May. The role of Giselle is close to Ms. Goh’s heart and she reflects, “It was beautiful for me to coach these seasoned artists in the Romantic style and assist them in making their personal interpretation of the roles come to life.” Ms Goh adds, “Peter’s new version of Giselle revived much of the original notation from the eighteen hundreds and gives the dance world a deeper understanding of all the transformations this ballet has lived through.” Peter Boal will be instructing at the Goh Ballet’s International Summer Intensive program this July.
Ms. Goh’s travels have also recently taken her to Toronto where she attended the National Ballet of Canada’s Mad Hot Wonderland Gala. See photograph (left) of Ms. Goh with Heather Ogden (Left) PrincipalDancer, James Pitblado Former NBOC Chair and Xiao Nan Yu (Right) Principal Dancer.
